Gold Coast Cherry is a cherry lager rather than a traditional sour beer. It has a light tartness and cherry character while retaining the crisp, refreshing profile of a lager.

Gold Coast Cherry takes a different approach to cherry beer. While traditional styles like Belgian Kriek are built on lambic and other cherry beers may lean heavily into sourness, Gold Coast Cherry starts with something much more familiar: a crisp lager.

Real cherry brings the distinctive red pour, bright fruit character and a gentle tartness, while the lager keeps it clean, refreshing and easy to drink. At 4.3% ABV, it’s not designed to be heavy, syrupy or overly sweet.

We love the cherry beers found throughout Europe, they’re where the inspiration began. But this isn’t an attempt to copy them. It’s our own expression, brewed on the Gold Coast and made for the way we live here: sun, water, rooftops, long lunches and the ‘summer all year long’ vibe.

Our Cherry Beer is not gluten-free (it’s brewed with barley malt), but it is vegan-friendly, no animal products, no finings, no nonsense.

The inspiration is European, but the beer is distinctly our own.
