Some things you discover while travelling stay with you long after you've returned home.

For us, it was cherry beer.

We're Timothy and Manon, the founders of Gold Coast Cherry. We've always loved travelling, discovering new places, cultures, food and drinks, and those little things you come across somewhere else that you never quite forget.

From France and Belgium to Budapest, we discovered different expressions of cherry beer. Beautifully red in the glass, refreshing, full of character, and unlike the beers we were used to.

It was different, without trying too hard to be.

But what stayed with us wasn't just the beer. It was everything around it. The places, the people, lively tables, long afternoons, and the simple pleasure of discovering something new and sharing it with good company.

We never really forgot it.

From European summers to ours.

When we returned to Australia, we realised that something we'd enjoyed so much in Europe was surprisingly hard to find here. And we kept coming back to the same thought: why not create something of our own?

Not a recreation of a European beer, but a fresh expression of the idea, inspired by the place we call home: The Gold Coast.

Sunshine, the ocean, early mornings, an active outdoor lifestyle, great venues and good company. A place with its own energy, where people make the most of where they live, appreciate the good things in life and don't take themselves too seriously.

We wanted to create a beer that felt right at home here.

And that's how Gold Coast Cherry came to life.

A crisp, refreshing lager brewed with real cherry, with a distinctive ruby-red pour that catches your eye before the first sip.

More than another beer.

From the beginning, our ambition was about more than putting another beer on tap.

We wanted to create something that could become part of the Gold Coast itself. A signature local beer that locals are proud to call their own, visitors discover while they're here, and one day people enjoy far beyond our shores.

But more than anything, we wanted to capture a feeling.

That feeling of being somewhere you love, surrounded by good company, with nowhere else you'd rather be. The warmth of a sunny afternoon, the energy of a great venue, the little moments that make an ordinary day feel special.

And sometimes, all it takes is trying something you wouldn't normally order.

Something that catches your eye, surprises you with the first sip, and before you know it, becomes a new favourite.

That's what we hope Gold Coast Cherry brings to the table.
